Funky Love Collab Kit

This is definitely going to be one of those weeks everyone is spoiled rotten! I know you all deserve it! To start the week off in a good way, Digi-Designs by Nicole and Amber over at Stolen Moments got together and created this dang cute collab kit, Funky Love. The colors aren't traditional Valentine type colors. They bright, exciting, and just fun! My type of kit! Here's the layout I did for it:

Funny story behind the title Beautiful Annalise. I showed Annalise who happens to be 2 going on 3 (in April) the layout I had created without the title. She immediately says, "Annalise". I reply, "Yup, what should we call this picture?" Her reply, "Beautiful Annalise." Thus the title of the layout. She's just so sweet!

Anyway, here are the previews of the kits. Click on each kit to be taken to Amber and Nicole's blogs to download their fabulous kits. Don't forget to leave them so much deserved love and thanks! They both work hard and have done an amazing job!

Goofball Girls

Here's a layout I did for a challenge over at Digi-Designs by Nicole's Forum. It's the word of the week challenge. The word was Goofball. Fits my two girls to a T, so I had to participate in this one. Head over to the Forum to checkout the other great layouts.

I have been crazy busy the last couple of days! I have been working on a slide show DVD for my friends son who is getting his Eagle Scout award tomorrow. I even threw in a little digital scrapbooking into the the slides. Needless to say that's all the scrapping I've done lately.

Anyway, Mandak who does amazing layouts by the way, gave me a blog award! Thanks a bunch Mandak so fun! It's nice to have these given to you once in a while. Here's the award:

So now I get to pass it on to 5 people (in no particular order):

2. Jewelle--Even though we haven't met, I feel a connection with her and she's just fabulous!
3. Jen over at Graham like the Cracker-Week after week she produces great quickpages from the layouts she creates. They are so absolutely adorable! Thanks Jen!
4. Tracy-My sister in law, because she got me started into all this digi-scrapping stuff and now I can't get enough of it. She's also pretty great!

It's Official.....Speed Scrapping is Addicting

Okay, I've heard it before, now I believe it. Speed Scrapping is addicting! I participated in my first speed scrap over at Scrap Matters yesterday.

Here are the instructions:

1. Select one photo and place it directly in the middle of the page. Doesn't matter if it's near the top or bottom of the page.

2. Paper- one solid color background paper light in color and do some paper blocking either solids or pattern paper is fine.

3. Hang something- tag, picture, an element...anything..your choice

4. Add 3 of the following 4 things..your choice...string, heart, bracket or stitches

5. Add some word art

6. Title your page- use an alpha for one word and font for the rest (I will make it easy on you...if you have only a one word title then just use
an alpha)

7. Date and journal if you wish. Save and upload to Gallery #62 and link your picture back here so we can leave you some love.

Speed Scrap and Other Ramblings

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments on the Adoption word art! I'm glad you enjoyed it and will find it useful. I learned a lot by doing my first "freebie" and am hoping to do more in the future. So, stay tuned!

Friday afternoon I participated in my second speed scrap. Boy, was it challenging! It was pretty intense! But, I did it and finished in the time allotted! Woohoo!!

Here's the instructions we were given:

Step 1 - pick 3 pictures, only 1 of the 3 can have people in it.
Step 2 - pick any 7 papers; use 1 for your background and the others however you wish
Step 3 - Colorize your pictures; black/white, color overlay, etc...
Step 4 - Frame all your pictures
Step 5 - Use as many flowers and greenery as you wish. make a small cluster
Step 6 - Using only alpha make a BIG title for your layout
Step 7 - put a tab on your layout with the date on it. add any drop shadows and finish your layout. upload to a gallery or photobucket and then post your layout in the forum. you have 1 hour left to complete it. can't wait to see what you've done! thanks for playing!!

See what I mean, pretty intense! Finding the 3 pictures with only 1 with people in it started it off with a huge challenge. So, my layout is kind of stretch, but I didn't have many pictures to use that didn't have people in them. So, my new goal is to take more pictures of things around me and not just people.

Anyway, here's my layout:

Someone to Love Add on-Word Art Freebie

****Some of you have been having problems downloading this word art. I am so sorry! This is a first for me! I've re-zipped it, hopefully it will work now. Please let me know if you are still getting errors. The link below is for the new zipped file****

As you all know, Amber at Stolen Moments released a fabulous kit this week Someone to Love. It's absolutely beautiful and the theme behind it is even more beautiful....Adoption.

As mentioned before adoption is a huge part of my life, so it made it even more exciting to help give ideas and even do and add on for this kit. I've not done anything like this before, so keep that in mind. But, if you like it feel free to post a comment. I would love to hear what you have to say. Feel free to download and enjoy! I was going to release this on Saturday but decided I couldn't wait any longer.

Happy Scrapping!

Oceans of Love

Here's a layout I created this morning using a great kit by Sweet Blossom Designs Surfs Up. I really like this kit, it has so many fun elements that go with it. The kit as a whole ROCKS! One thing I love about the way Sara creates her layouts is that she does amazing clusters. I on the other hand have a long ways to go in creating clusters. I tried on this layout, it turned out okay. But, you have got to go to Sara's blog and see her great layouts with her beautiful clusters. Simply Amazing!

Anyway, enough jibber jabber......here's my layout:

Someone To Love-Adoption Kit

I have been so excited about this new kit by Stolen Moments, Someone to Love. This is a kit dedicated to Adoption. Adoption is an important part of my life and the life of my family. My father is adopted, my sister in law is adopted, my niece and nephew is adopted, myself and my husband have cousins who are adopted, and my youngest daughter is adopted. To have a kit with adoption elements is HUGE! I have enjoyed putting together two layouts that share a portion of our adoption experience with our daughter Annalise.

I don't know if this works or not, but I'm dedicating these two pages to our wonderful birth mom. We love her more than words could possibly express. We look forward to her letters and for the opportunity to write to her. Carrie, you made it possible for us to have Annalise in our lives and for this we could never possibly thank you enough. W
e love you!

Without further ado, here are my two layouts. Click on the kit preview below to be taken to Stolen Moments blog to begin downloading this kit.

Check back on Saturday for an add-on that I made for this kit. It's word art associated with adoption. Come back and download it on Saturday.

Speed Scrap #1

I just completed my very first speed scrap ever. Boy, was it fun! I was antsy and nervous to begin with, but as I got going, I loved doing it. Here are the instructions we had to follow:

Step 1~Open up 4 papers 2 plain and 2 patterned
Step 2 ~ Use a digitally enhanced photo

Step 3~ Use some type of circle. Could be paper made or an element
Step 4~ I want a cluster with at least 1 flower and/or 1 leaf. Go crazy on the cluster. Use as many elements as you want.
Step 5~ Lets see a ribbon and some "scrap-hedsive" ei- staples or paperclips etc
Step 6~ Use some form of Word Art. This could be your title, but doesn't have to be
Step 7~ Journaling! I want at least 4 lines of journaling

And here's my layout:Credits: Toodley Blue Kit & AWP Blue Jean Kit
